Mo Gan Shan Road (莫干山路) is one of Shanghai’s emerging centres for contemporary art galleries, studios-for-rent, and some of the city’s best graffiti (in a city with very little of it). Here are some of the best shots from my exploration on Wednesday.

It is interesting that (at least some of) those were done without spray cans. Probably more environmentally friendly than the graffiti artists in Melbourne.

Really? Most of it looked like spray paint to me, but what do I know? Either way, the last thing on China’s mind is climate change.

The panda is saying “Ni Hao” (“hello”). And yes, not sure whether the “one china to rule em all!!” is supposed to be sarcastic or not.

Well, they sent pandas to Taiwan whose combined names mean ‘reunification’ or something like that, so obviously giant pandas are at the forefront of foreign policy already.
